May Challenge Day Seven

Today was different. I stepped way out of my comfort zone and caught a train to Parramatta, with both kids! A friend of mine was in desperate need of something different to staying around home all day, so we decided to meet on the train and head to the big smoke, kind of, for some much needed time out. It was lovely! I was nervous about the train and losing one of our children in a huge shopping centre ,but nothing bad happened. I even found a couple of bargains and replaced a much needed item of clothing.

Anyway, it was good for other reasons too, like now I feel more motivated to do it more often, more motivated to walk and even more motivated to do some more craft...it's weird how that happens. I was inspired by some of the clothes we saw, in shops and being worn by other customers. Not so much by the lady who was wearing fluro green slip-on shoes with black tapered baggy pants with orange spots and the orange jumper...ew. There were some really gorgeous kids clothes around though. I was impressed by the re-fit of the Lincraft store where I used to work (it's completely unrecognisable) and I really enjoyed the company of my friend and her daughter. Nothing beats quality time with a good friend!

Hopefully tomorrow I'll get back to work on the quilt and I might even have a pic or two of my progress, depending on how it goes that is...

Goodnight!
