Ok, so yesterday was my dad's birthday and tomorrow we're having a "party" with our family to celebrate. So I spent yesterday and today working on something special for his present (and avoiding the coldness outside) and it's finally done! I'm really excited and I hope he likes it, but I can't show you until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest. I've taken heaps of photos of the making of stuff too, so I might show you exactly how I did it. Yay! I'm so excited that it's done!

One thing that I can show you without spoiling anything is this...
I made this tonight for tomorrow, even though Dad is gluten and dairy free. At least everyone else can have some. I'm sure the kids will love it. In the morning I need to decorate it, but so far it is the best looking cake I've had come out of my oven. I'm almost sad that it has to be eaten...oh well. Another reason to put more effort into sewing that lasts, rather than food.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know there is another project post on the way.
